Acercandonos al mundial /Approaching the World championship

Faltan pocas horas para iniciar el viaje a "The Hague", Holanda. Allí se disputara el Campeonato Mundial 2010 (del 11 al 18 de julio), el que esperamos con muchas ganas. Esta edición contara con 130 equipos de todo el mundo, un numero interesante! 

Al igual que el ano pasado utilizaremos el sistema de "GPS tracking", por lo cual pueden seguir las regatas en vivo vía online (www.470worlds2010.com.).

Just a few hours for our departure to "The Hague", Netherlands where the 2010 470 World Championships will take place. 130 teams from all over the world will attend and extreme high competition is expected as we get closer to 2012.

The organization will provide "GPS tracking" one more time this year so you will be able to follow the races online at www.470worlds2010.com.

4to puesto!

El dia final del campeonato contó con dos regatas de flota por la mañana y una medal race (regatta final en la que participan los diez mejores clasificados y otorga puntaje doble).

En las regatas de flota logramos un 16 y un 2do lo que nos dejo en el 3er puesto de cara a la Medal. La regatta final se corrió muy cerca del club y con un viento muy cambiante. Lamentablemente dado a malas decisiones nos quedamos con el 4to puesto en la general que de todas maneras es muy bueno teniendo en cuenta el nivel del campeonato.

Nuestro próximo compromiso es el mundial en The Hague, Holanda y el objetivo es quedar nuevamente entre los  cinco primeros.

4^th place!

In the final day of the regatta we raced two fleet races in the morning and the Medal Race.  Fleet races were pretty good for us as we scored a 16^th and a 2^nd placing us in the Bronze going into the Medal Race.

Due to bad decisions on the water and a bad final race we ended in 4^th overall, which is still good for us in such a high level regatta.

Our next stop will be the World Championship, which will take place in The Hague, Holland. The goal will be to finish in the top five.
